reasons why the iPhone X is better than the Pixel 2 Hollis Johnson The iPhone X or Google's Pixel 2 phones: The choice is yours.  Unfortunately, the choice is ever harder to make these days, as both devices share features that were once exclusive to one or the other. Back in the day – last year – I could say that the Pixel's 2's OLED display was better than the iPhone 7's bog-standard LCD display. And the Pixel had other meaningful features that the iPhone didn't, like fast charging. But this year, and Apple has graced the iPhone X with a stunning OLED display, and I can't claim that the Pixel 2's display is better anymore. In fact, it's quite the reverse. And the iPhone X handily beats the Pixel 2 phones in several other areas, too.  Here are six ways the iPhone X is better than the Pixel 2 phones: View As: One Page Slides   Apple’s iPhone X Production Problems Could Last Into ’18, Says Mizuho Apple (AAPL) is still having trouble get

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 Is Code-named ‘Crown’; Pilot Production, Component Deliveries Will Commence In Early 2018 With 2017 ending soon, it’s time we start looking at the future. It’s been a big year for flagships. We got edge to edge displays, 10nm processors and facial recognition. Safe to say, the industry isn’t what it was even two years back. Manufacturers have moved forward in leaps. Right now, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and LG next iteration of the ‘G’ lineup will launch in early 2018, if past trends hold. However, it’s the Galaxy Note 9 which makes an early appearance on the rumor mill. Take a look below to find out more. Apple’s decision to launch Face ID on the iPhone X has put all Android manufacturers on the back foot. And while most makers might use Qualcomm’s solutions to bring facial recognition on their devices as well, it won’t have the same touch. After all, an in-house solution is an in-house solution, meriting more attention and praise than licensed solutions. That b

Acer Announces 8" Iconia W3 Tablet, S3 and S7 Haswell Ultrabooks Computex is always a big stage for mobile device launches, and Taiwanese manufacturers always seem to bring a little bit extra to their home technology expo. Acer’s press event at Computex 2013 took place earlier today, where they announced some interesting new Windows 8-based devices.  The most notable has to be the Iconia W3 tablet, the first sub-10” device we’ve seen running the latest variant of Windows. We’ve known of the W3’s imminent arrival for some time now, but its no less significant of a launch because of it. It’s a Clover Trail-based Atom slate with Windows 8, an 8.1” 1280x800 display, and a bundled copy of Office Home and Student 2013. Internally, the W3 runs on Intel’s 1.5GHz Atom Z2760 SoC, which we’re very familiar with at this point after dealing with it inside a number of different Windows 8 tablets in the last six months, along with 2GB of DDR3. It’s also got a 2MP rear-facing camera (at tha

Robots will be 100 times smarter than humans in 30 years, tech exec says Masayoshi Son, the CEO of Japanese tech conglomerate Softbank, has been preparing his company for this scenario for quite some time. Now the tech exec thinks robots will not just outsmart humans, but will have an IQ of 10,000 in the next 30 years. Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Son, who has made countless investments in companies related to artificial intelligence ─ including chip companies Nvidia and ARM Holdings ─ stated that robots will surpass human-level intelligence rapidly and ultimately become far smarter than humanity has ever dreamed of. STEPHEN HAWKING: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COULD END THE HUMAN RACE "Singularity is the concept that [mankind's] brain will be surpassed, this is the tipping point, crossing point, that artificial intelligence, computer intelligence surpass [mankind's] brain and that is happening in this century for sure,"

Wireless charging on the iPhone 8 is just as slow as the included charger, but that could change with an upcoming iOS 11 update Hollis Johnson/Business Insider Android phones have had wireless charging for years, but Apple only now introduced the feature for its new iPhone 8 and iPhone X models. Better late than never, I suppose. Wireless charging is a nice, if not essential, feature to have. It's slightly more convenient than reaching for your charging cable; just place your iPhone on a wireless charging pad as if it were resting on a table. No plugging or unplugging necessary. But that's the only benefit to going wireless, at least for now.  In theory, wireless charging with Belkin and Mophie's 7.5W wireless chargers sold from the Apple store should also mean faster charging, so that you can replenish you phone's battery in less time. But as we can see from this chart from Apple Insider, the difference between charging your iPhone 8 with the standard 5 w

Huawei Mate 10 Pro vs Mate 9 Image Shows Design Changes The Huawei Mate 10 series are slated to get unveiled in the third week of this month. Speculations have revealed that the Mate 10 series will include four smartphones such as Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Lite and Mate 10 Porsche Design. A new image of the Mate 10 Pro that compares it with Mate 9 from last year has surfaced. The image shows the design changes that the Chinese manufacturer has introduced on Mate 10 Pro. Even though the dimensions of the Mate 10 Pro are not available, the above image does reveal that the handset is slightly slimmer and shorter than the predecessor model. This could be because the Mate 10 Pro is speculated to feature a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Huawei Mate 9 has a metallic unibody chassis. However, the Mate 10 Pro is speculated to come with a glass back. The design of the dual rear cameras has been mod
